I love running into friends and fans at the gigs that I do! You are part of what makes performing with my banjo so fun and rewarding. I'm conductiong two workshops in 2012, and appearing at a handful of gigs with my band Steam Powered Bluegrass. Hopefully my calendar has something that will work for your schedule. March 10, 2012: Banjo Workshop

The details are still coming together on this one. It'll likely be a workshop in two sessions: a two hour beginning picker's session, followed by a two hour intermediate picker's session. The location will be in New Era, Michigan, and there will be a cost to attend. Keep an eye on this area. I'll be updating it as the details come together.

April 21, 2012: Playing at the W.M.B.M.A. monthly meeting

I'll be appearing with Steam Powered Bluegrass at the monthly meeting and jam session of The West Michigan Bluegrass Music Association. May 11, 2012: Steam Powered Bluegrass at Mocha 'N Music

Where: Mocha 'N Music

Location: Hudsonville Mi.

Time: 7:00PM to 10:00pm

I'm appearing with my band Steam Powered Bluegrass at the great little Hudsonville meeting place called Mocha 'N Music. This is a free performance in an intimate setting. You get to be up close and personal with the music. Various coffees, snacks, and other beverages are available for purchase. May 18, 2012: Steam Powered Bluegrass at the W.M.B.M.A. Mayfest Bluegrass Festival

Where: The West Michigan Bluegrass Music Association Bluegrass Festival

Location: The Kent County Fairgrounds in Lowell Michigan

Time: 8:35PM to 9:20pm

May 19, 2012: Free banjo workshop

Where: The West Michigan Bluegrass Music Association Bluegrass Festival

Location: The Kent County Fairgrounds in Lowell Michigan

Time: 9:00am

I'm conducting a free banjo workshop geared to beginner's, advanced-beginners, and intermediate pickers. The workshop is free as part of your entrance fee into the bluegrass festival. June 27, 2012: Concerts in the Park

Where: Saugatuck Michigan

Location: The gazebo by the river

Time: 7:00pm - 9:00pm

I'm appearing with my band Steam Powered Bluegrass at this popular outdoor summertime concert series. Bring your lawn chair and come out to beautiful Saugatuck for some outdoor music that'll get your toes tapping and help you enjoy your summertime in Michigan.

July 21, 2012: Steam Powered Bluegrass at the Ionia Free Fair

Location: Ionia Free Fair fairgrounds

Time: 8:00pm to 10:00pm

The Ionia Free Fair is a great West Michigan tradition, and Steam Powered Bluegrass is proud to be able to play it this year! The West Michigan Bluegrass Music Association has teamed up with the Ionia Free Fair board to bring bluegrass to the fair this year, and we are appearing as the third act on the roster. July 25, 2012: Salvation Army Luncheon

I'm playing for an hour to support The Salvation Army with my group Steam Powered Bluegrass. We'll be playing from 1pm to 2pm.

August 9, 2012: Steam Powered Bluegrass at the Kent County Youth Fair

Where: The Kent County Youth Fair

Location: The Kent County Fairgrounds in Lowell Michigan

Time: 8:30pm - 9:45pm

I'm appearing with Steam Powered Bluegrass again this year at the Kent County Youth Fair. This is a joint venture betweent the Youth Fair and the West Michigan Bluegrass Music Association. Come on out and see two great bands for free! The music starts roughly at 6:00pm, with Steam Powered Bluegrass being the second act on the bill.
